Village BGM stopping after a trip indoors
Since the village is now kept loaded but disabled, Start doesn't run when it's re-enabled, so the village BGM never came back. It now restarts with the same resume rule on re-enable, and other looping sounds pick up from where they stopped.
After going into a building and coming back out, the village BGM wasn't playing. Since 157-1, the village isn't unloaded while you're indoors. It stays disabled and just gets re-enabled when you come out, and that's where this came from.
What I built
- Village → guild → village: the guild uses a different track, so the village BGM (Town1) plays from the beginning when you come out
- Village → tavern → village: it's the same track, so it continues from village 18.4 s → tavern 25.5 s → village 29.0 s
Rabbit hole: the village BGM doesn't come back
The village BGM had auto play (Play On Awake) turned off and was started once in Start. It stopped when the village was disabled, but Start doesn't run again on re-enable, so nothing ever started it again.
Now any BGM that has played once gets restarted on re-enable with the same resume rule: if the same track was recorded within 3 s, it continues; if it's a different track, it starts from the beginning.
Rabbit hole: other looping sounds could stay stopped too
For the same reason, other looping sounds could also stay stopped. When the village is disabled, I remember which looping sounds (other than the BGM) were playing and their positions, and when it's re-enabled, they play from those positions.
Next up
- The blacksmith is the same case as the guild (different track), so I didn't test it separately
